A certain blade flexible grinding unit retrofit

Customer Pain Points

  • Core Requirements: Focusing on the precision machining scenario of XX blades, this project requires the client to complete a flexible upgrade based on the existing production line to adapt to multi-variety, high-precision production demands.
  • Existing Pain Points: Under the current production mode, the absence of a digital control system leads to poor process connectivity and untraceable data, making it difficult to achieve large-scale mass production. There is an urgent need for an integrated solution to break through development bottlenecks.

Core configuration of the line body

  • Core Machining Unit: Integrates the client's existing 3 five-axis grinding centers with 1 five-axis high-speed milling center to complete the full process of blade grinding and milling. CHINAF is responsible for equipment coordination debugging and process adaptation to ensure machining precision.
  • Automated Execution Unit: Deploys robot floor rails and a 7th axis, interfacing with existing loading/unloading stations and material warehouses to realize automatic part transfer and process connection without manual intervention, adapting to the machining requirements of multi-variety blades.
  • Digitalization and Safety Unit: Features the CHINAF PCS control system, supplemented by an RFID identification system, to realize production scheduling, progress monitoring, and full-process traceability. It is equipped with a safety protection system and simultaneously completes the independent enclosure renovation of the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to optimize inspection accuracy, while synchronously providing dedicated fixture design and integration services.

Core Value

  • Full-Process Automation Upgrade: Relying on robot floor rails and automation systems, closed-loop operations covering blade machining, inspection, transfer, and storage are realized, reducing manual intervention by 90%. This thoroughly resolves the pain points of manual operations, which are inefficient and prone to causing blade damage.
  • High Precision and High Adaptability: Through dedicated fixtures, high-precision pallets, and standardized processes, the machining precision of grinding and milling operations is ensured. Simultaneously, the system adapts to the machining of multi-variety blades without requiring large-scale production line modifications, allowing for flexible switching between production categories.
  • Digital Efficient Control: Utilizing the CHINAF PCS system and RFID identification technology, digital scheduling and traceability throughout the entire production process are achieved, lowering management costs and assisting clients in realizing lean production and efficient upgrades.
